The Investment Products division is responsible for the development and management of investment products for NBK Capital and its respective distribution channels. Investment Products’ core roles include third party manager and product selection, product structuring, and active monitoring. The team consists of investment professionals with varied backgrounds brought together by a culture of rigorous research and insightful market intelligence.

Investment Products main value-add lies across the following functions:

    • Researching investment trends and strategies that ultimately develop into product strategy.
    • Identifying and selecting best-in-class investment managers and partners across all asset classes by adopting a methodological and diligent research process.
    • Sourcing and evaluating real estate direct transactions within set mandates outside the regional footprint of NBK Capital.
    • Developing robust structures that are both tailor-made to the ultimate clients’ needs and compliant with the relevant regulatory environment.
    • Actively monitoring and constantly assessing existing portfolios in the platform to ensure compliance with the parameters of set mandates as well as the overall effectiveness of such mandates.

LIST OF FUNDS

  • Watani KD Money Market Fund II

    The Fund seeks to achieve returns higher than the rate of return on fixed deposits in Kuwaiti Dinars. The Fund will seek to increase its net asset value while maintaining a high level of liquidity by investing in diversified and high-quality money market instruments.

  • Watani USD Money Market Fund

    The Fund seeks to achieve returns higher than the rate of return on fixed deposits in US Dollars. The Fund will seek to increase its net asset value while maintaining a high level of liquidity by investing in diversified and high-quality money market instruments.

  • NBK Kuwait Equity Fund

    The Fund will seek long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in Kuwaiti domiciled, listed equities. The Investment Manager may choose to invest in non-Kuwaiti stocks that he deems to have significant exposure to the Kuwaiti economy.

  • Watani KD Money Market Fund According to Islamic Shariah Principles II

    The Fund seeks to achieve competitive returns by investing in short and medium term financial instruments that are compliant with the Islamic Shariah and are available in the financial market, such as the instruments arising from murabaha operations. The instruments in which the Fund will invest in are denominated in Kuwaiti Dinar. The Fund has the right to invest in instruments denominated in other currencies.

  • Watani USD Money Market Fund According to Islamic Shariah Principles II

    The Fund seeks to achieve competitive returns by investing in short and medium term financial instruments that are compliant with the Islamic Shariah and are available in the financial market, such as the instruments arising from murabaha operations. The instruments in which the Fund will invest in are denominated in US Dollar. The Fund has the right to invest in instruments denominated in other currencies.

  • Gulf Equity Investment Fund

    The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in equities of companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council. The Fund will follow an active strategy of allocating its investments between the various markets in the GCC. The Fund’s objective is to achieve absolute returns over the long term by reducing the risk that comes from investing in equity markets of the GCC.

  • Regional Bond and Sukuk Investment Fund

    Regional Bond and Sukuk Investment Fund is an open-ended debt fund incorporated in Kuwait, licensed and supervised by the Capital Market Authority of Kuwait. The primary aim of the Fund is to enable investors to gain exposure to fixed-income securities either issued or guaranteed by governments, quasi-government entities or corporations registered in the MENA region.
