The regional asset management team participated in the National Investment Company under the chairmanship of Dr. Husayn Shahrur and with the participation of Fahad Al Yaseen, Portfolio Manager and Eithar AlRushaid, Portfolio Analyst, in a workshop to discuss the institutional investment perspective on the importance of investor relations by the Kuwait Stock Exchange and the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA). The event was attended by companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange and brokerage firms. The importance of investor relations and their impact on the investment situation in the Kuwaiti market has been reviewed in general and highlighted how to apply best practices of investor relations through the local market.
NBK Capital participation in the workshop was held at Bursa’s headquarters in order to raise awareness in the market of the importance of building strong relationships with investors and the important role played by these relationships in business strategies, as well as identifying the perspective of institutional investment.

Transparency also improves the business environment by increasing legislation that ensures good governance, Foreign investments, particularly long-term ones.
Eithar AlRushaid, Portfolio Analyst at Regional Asset Management, said that by helping investor relations enable investors to have direct access to information affecting investment decisions by looking at all financial and non-financial information, particularly those affecting stock prices.
We also aim to strengthen channels of open dialogue with companies and encourage exchange of information to enable investors and financial analysts to gain insights into the strengths and prospects.
Eithar said that the scope of investor relations is based on a vision of meeting the highest standards of transparency and reliability, providing access to up-to-date information, and providing comprehensive financial performance information, including quarterly reports, market data, profit statements and presentations to the business and investment community.
She explained that the company’s investor relations department is about creating effective communication between them, on the one hand, and existing and potential investors on the other, in order to provide information services related to their investments, allowing the company to achieve a rational investment decision.
She stressed that communication with investors is a strategic managerial art that combines marketing, communication and knowledge of securities to create an effective two-way communication between the company, the financial community and the public of beneficiaries in order to achieve a fair valuation of the company’s shares.
Mr. Fahad Al Yaseen said that the role of Investor Relations has a number of positive impacts on the company, including the availability of investment research on the company and the public’s access to all the information that guides the pricing of the securities. All these factors increase the flow of institutional investments in the company and the market.
“Institutional investment plays a pivotal role in the global financial markets and plays a pivotal role in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets,” he added. He pointed to many studies that confirm that the increase in institutional investment has many positive effects, especially at the level of companies and markets in general.
The workshop was attended by representatives of listed companies and brokerage firms from the investor relations departments, financial departments, compliance and compliance officers, corporate governance departments and corporate communication.
